Job description

The company is looking for motivated, passionate individuals with good customer service skills and the ability to work within a large team of lifeguards and pool attendants. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards in terms of organisation, safety and cleanliness around the park. Waterworld prides itself on providing a safe environment in which our customers can enjoy themselves and our Lifeguards are at the heart of this!

Please note that this is a temporary, variable hours Lifeguard position covering late January 2026 through to the end of October 2026.

What training will we provide?

You will need to pass a swim test which includes a timed swim and deep water diving test. Any candidates who do not currently hold a valid NPLQ or STA Lifeguard certificate will need to be available for our next Waterworld Lifeguard course on the dates below:

  • Monday 19th to Friday 23rd January 2026, 5-9pm each day

Waterworld will pay all associated costs for you to complete the STA Level 2 Pool Emergency Responder qualification (subject to training costs agreement). You will also be required to pass Waterworld’s site-specific Lifeguard training modules in addition. Both courses are delivered in the same week! What better way to learn new skills and secure yourself a new job?!

Requirements:

  • Prove competence in swimming – pass a swim test
  • Hold a valid Lifeguarding qualification already OR pass the STA Pool Emergency Responder & Waterworld Lifeguard Courses (training provided)
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
